AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Contract: Permanent

Location: Lisburn

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The role of Automation Engineer at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (CCHBC) requires someone with strong proven maintenance skills from a fast-paced engineering background. We require a candidate that has at least 5 years relevant experience. The person will have good analytical ability and have a broad-based understanding of controls and software applications in industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform software upgrades on high speed automated equipment including inhouse projects.
  • Assist maintenance personnel on breakdowns as and when required.
  • Understanding of controls and software applications used in FMCG environment.
  • Applicant needs to have a flexible approach regarding working hours as and when required.

ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?

Essential

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Siemens S7 PLCs and associated software.
  • A formal relevant technical qualification to at least HND, HNC, Degree level.
  • Be familiar with SIEMENS PLC Networks including Profibus, Ethernet etc.
  • Will have a working knowledge of SCADA and HMI working applications.
  • Have experience of Danfoss Variable Speed Drives (VSD), including programming and fault finding.
  • Have a working knowledge of closed loop control systems, including pressure, temperature and flow control.
  • Must understand the concept and terminology used in control systems which include Proportional, Derivative and Integral Control actions. (PID).
  • Have strong analytical skills supporting fast and effective problem solving.
  • Be able to demonstrate a proven ability in trouble shooting in a dynamic high speed production environment.

DESIRABLE

  • Have a strong knowledge of automated conveying systems.
  • Worked in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Have worked on all aspects of general maintenance.
  • Will have a competent level and understanding in the area of troubleshooting on PC’s, PLC, pneumatic, mechanical, IT and electronic/electrical systems.
  • Have strong analytical skills supporting fast and effective problem solving.
