About fscom

fscom is a fast growing, boutique consultancy firm based in Belfast. We specialise in the provision of compliance and regulatory advice to our clients who are mainly large, global FinTech companies. Our clients are at the cutting edge of the financial technology sector and working for fscom you will get the opportunity to advise these exciting clients on a broad range of compliance advice. We work across three core technical areas financial crime, regulatory compliance and cyber security. 

We run our graduate academy every year and this year we want to recruit six graduates who are keen to work in a leading consulting firm and deal with exciting FinTech clients. Our graduate academy is a structured two year training programme which includes on the job training, workshops to build professional and consulting skills and also a industry recognised Diploma.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast growing consulting business alongside industry experts who’s “hands on” management style and approach ensures the effective transfer of knowledge down through the business. You will also have a dedicated “career coach” who will support and nurture you through your career with fscom. 

The Role

Working as a trainee compliance associate you will get the opportunity to rotate through the three key departments in fscom, financial crime, regulatory compliance and cyber security. You will get the opportunity to work on exciting client projects assisting with advising our clients on a broad range of financial services legislation and regulation. Tyoical types of client projects include AML audits, financial crime gap analysis projects, FCA authorisations, enterprise risk assessments, thematic reviews. 

The Candidate

We are looking for bright, ambitious graduates who are keen to work in a boutique professional services organisation. The successful applicant will ideally meet the following criteria;

– Degree Educated with a 2:1 (whilst law and finance degrees are a close fit we are flexible to consider other subjects)

– Ideally will have had some previous work experience within a professional services firm

– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

– Strong numeracy skills with intermediate skills with Excel

– Excellent relationship building skills

– Accuracy and an eye for detail
