SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT

Conway Group Healthcare are recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant for our newly opened 8 bed Residential Dementia Unit in Brooklands HealthCare, 42F Cloona Park, Dunmurry, Belfast

Shift Work:Night Duty.

Salary: Circa £9.50 per hour

Part-time or full-time hours available.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a senior care assistant you will play a major part in making our residents’ lives as happy and fulfilling as possible. You should be able to quickly identify any changes to your residents’ needs and be able to deal with these competently ensuring their safety at all times. It is essential that all records pertaining to the delivery of care of these residents are in line with the Residential Care Homes Minimum Standards.

Candidates must have at least 2 years previous Care Assistant experience and have achieved a minimum of NVQ Level 2 and or working towards Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.

You must have the skills necessary to ensure the residents’ needs and safety is maintained at all times. You should be able to quickly identify any changes to your residents’ needs and be able to communicate effectively with the Multi-disciplinary teams. You will be required to administer medication (RDU), develop and maintain care plans and audit associated paperwork. Additionally you must have a clear record with regards to conduct, performance and attendance.
