Salary : £16,493.75

Barnardo’s Children’s Services are seeking to recruit a part-time Secretarial Assistant to join The Disabled Children and Young People’s Participation Project (DCYPPP) in our Armagh office.

The secretarial assistant role will provide general admin and secretary support for DCYPPP’s varied work. DCYPPP work with Children and Young aged 8-25 who have a disability.

The DCYPPP team includes a team manager, project workers, assistant project workers and volunteers who work on the following:

  • Sixth Sense Advocacy Group
  • Peer Coaching Program
  • Schools Inclusion Project
  • Regional Young People’s Group

The candidate will be required to prioritise tasks and work with a range of demands on their time. Excellent communication and  IT skills are essential for this role.

The role will include the following tasks:

  • maintaining records using Microsoft packages and internal recording systems
  • providing telephone/reception support
  • processing invoices
  • arranging transport for children and young people
  • working with other agencies and Barnardo’s projects

Location: DCYPPP, Tower Hill, Armagh, BT61 9DR

Hours: 16 per week. Working Pattern: Monday 9am-2:30pm, Wednesday 9am-2:30pm and Friday 9am-2pm. There is some flexibility with this working pattern.

Salary: Circa £16,493.75 for full time working – actual salary will be paid pro rata.

*Starting salary is generally at the beginning of the pay band however, further consideration will be given to exceptional candidates
