Role

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be reporting to the Management Accountants, will be confident and a detail-oriented professional, able to work in a fast – paced and deadline-driven environment and have a strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Code and Post invoices/Credit notes
  • Ensure all invoices received are approved
  • Query resolution
  • Statement Reconciliation
  • Making payments
  • Ensuring adherence to procedures and payment terms
  • Liaising with a range of external suppliers
  • Meeting deadlines
  • Ad hoc tasks as requested by Senior Purchase Ledger and Financial Controller

Essential Criteria

  • 5 GCSE’s or equivalent, Grade C or above
  • A Minimum of 12 months experience working in a busy accountancy environment
  • A good understanding of Purchase Ledger gained in a commercial environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office, in particular
  • MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Methodical with an organised approach to work
  • Ability to work on own initiative while contributing effectively to a team environment

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of Navision and COINS
