Plumber – Maintenance/Small Works

Responsible to Site Safety Supervisors, Contracts Manager/Project Manager

Working as part of a close-knit team to complete insurance reinstatements, maintenance works and emergency repairs.

This is a mobile role that will require travel throughout N Ireland and the position will include emergency rota duties.

Key accountabilities

A highly motivated Plumber, who takes pride in their work. This position requires excellent customer care skills as you will be in contact with our valuable customers on a daily basis. We demand a high level of customer care and insist on adherence to our code of conduct at all times. It is expected that you will become familiar with the rules and regulations surrounding the handling of insurance claims & maintenance contracts. A friendly helpful attitude and efficient professional approach are expected at all times. We expect our employees to wear a uniform and to be of neat & presentable appearance when working in occupied properties. We operate a clean as you go policy so that all work areas are left clean and tidy.

Main Duties

  • General Plumbing eg. full bathroom refurbishments, kitchen replacements, trace & access of leaking pipes etc. (general handyman experience/multi tasking would also be helpful).
  • Identifying problems and finding solutions.
  • Reporting to claims handlers/contracts manager any concerns, complications or issues arising when on site.
  • Liaising with other trades to ensure proper preparation is undertaken for further stages of job in hand.
  • Leaving area clean and tidy and ensuring proper protection of property throughout all works.
  • Operating efficiently from schedule of works.

Personal Attributes

  • An NVQ Level 2/3 in your trade, full UK driving licence, valid CSR card
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Meticulous efficient workmanship
  • Pleasant, helpful ‘can do’ attitude
  • Good Organisational skills
  • Ability to operate in busy environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining work standards
  • Neat and tidy appearance
  • Previous maintenance / insurance experience preferable, but personality fit is equally important

SALARY NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
