Responsible to Site Safety Supervisors, Contracts Manager/Project Manager

Other Contacts – Claims handlers, Other trades, Supervisors, Health and Safety Officer, Personnel,

Supporting Departments within Wallace Contracts

This is a mobile role that will require travel throughout N Ireland

Key accountabilities

This position requires excellent customer care skills as you will be in contact with our valuable customers on a daily basis. We demand a high level of customer care and insist on adherence to our code of conduct at all times. It is expected that you will become familiar with the rules and regulations surrounding the handling of an insurance claim. A friendly helpful attitude and efficient professional approach are expected at all times. We expect our employees to wear a uniform and to be of neat

Presentable appearance when working in occupied properties. We operate a clean as you go policy

So that all work areas are left clean and tidy.

Main Duties

  • Joinery works e.g. fitting worktops, skirting, ease and adjust doors, kitchen units, and all general joinery tasks.
  • Minor other works e.g. remove set aside toilet or wash hand basin, small areas touch up painting, tiling, laying flags etc (whilst it is not expected that all minor works can be undertaken general handyman experience/multi tasking would be necessary)
  • Identifying possible problems and finding solutions.
  • Reporting to claims handlers/contracts manager/ any concerns complications or issues arising when on site.
  • Liaising with other trades to ensure proper preparation is undertaken for further stages of job in hand.
  • Leaving area clean and tidy and ensuring proper protection of property throughout all works.
  • Operating efficiently from schedule of works,
