 Job Description

Oversee the day to day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operation and giving appropriate feedback to staff during shift hours

Bunsen is a fast casual burger restaurant that has six locations throughout Ireland and the UK. We are looking for someone to join our team to be the Kitchen Manager in our Belfast location.

We provide excellent training and skills to suceed in the position.

 

Generous salary and a strong quarterly bonus based on performance for each trimester.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring effective Stock Control Procedures are in place and adhered to at all times.

  • Training and Development of the team

  • Keeping the team up to date about departmental and company activities through daily communication

  • Oversee the day to day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operation and giving appropriate feedback to staff during shift hours

  • Receiving and Placing orders and deliveries

  • Maintaining a complete HACCP system

  • Tracking all invoices and maintaining relationships with suppliers

  • Managing BOH employees and working directly with the FOH manager as a team

  • Forecasting wage costs, rosters, holiday planning

  • Must have the flexibility to work late nights and weekends.

  • Be committed to continuous personal improvement and advancement in their profession and the ability to multi-task in a face-paced environment.

  • Have a friendly and outgoing personality and be willing to lead by example.

  • To adhere to all Health & Safety and Hygiene Procedures

  • An advanced level of English is required and a professional and polite manner is essential.

  • 1-2 Years experience in a similar kitchen manager role

  • Excellent initiative for cleanliness

  • Flexible with the ability to work closely with the FOH Management team and restaurant staff and kitchen staff.
