Salary: £18,870 – £23,111

Role: Belfast Met are seeking to appoint an Administrator to the Executive team on a full-time permanent basis.

The Executive Support Team provides a private and confidential administrative service to the Principal and Chief Executive and three of the Directors at the College.  The team is the central link to senior management for internal and external stakeholders including businesses, government departments, MLAs, Councillors, Governing Body, staff and students.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive and confidential support service to the Executive Team including administration and secretarial duties.

What you need:

Qualifications / Experience

  • EITHER hold a qualification BTEC National, GNVQ Advanced or NVQ Level 3 or above AND have a minimum of one year’s previous experience working as a personal assistant and/or team administrative support to Senior Management where accuracy and attention to detail are required OR Have a minimum of two years’ previous experience working as a personal assistant and/or team administrative support to Senior Management where accuracy and attention to detail are required
  • Hold English GCSE at Grade C or above, OR Essential Skills level 2 (or higher) in Communication, or equivalent.
  • Hold Maths GCSE at Grade C or above, OR Essential Skills level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or equivalent.
  • Have recent experience of planning, organising and working effectively in a busy administrative environment.
  • Have experience of organising and co-ordinating meetings including drafting agendas, minute/note taking and the follow-up of actions
  • Have experience of managing multiple diaries.
  • Have experience of the appropriate handling of sensitive and confidential information.
  • Have experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications or similar packages for example; word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and maintenance of electronic diaries.
