 Job Description

As the GRAHAM business continues to grow and develop we are looking for an enthusiastic advisor to assist the Construction operational teams with environmental compliance and achieving of best practice

The Environmental Advisor shall:

• Review project environmental risks and opportunities
• Prepare Construction Environmental Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans and other management plans as required
• Advise management & staff on environmental matters
• Undertake audit planning in line with agreed audit frequencies
• Conduct site environmental compliance audits
• Investigate environmental incidents
• Review subcontract documentation as it relates to environmental controls
• Summarise and communicate legislation updates
• Assist with applications for environmental permits, licence and exemptions
• Collect environmental data for monitoring, analysis and reporting
• Assist in the evaluation of site and regional performance relating to carbon, energy, waste, water, biodiversity and other parameters as required
• Measure performance against targets and objectives and contribute toward strategies for ensuring that targets and objectives are met
• Compile case studies for sharing of best practice environmental measures
• Prepare and deliver Environmental training and briefings
• Prepare information for regular communication in the form of advice notes, intranet articles and reports
• Undertake benchmarking exercises and co-ordinate and assemble awards submissions
• Prepare responses for PQQs / Bids / Tenders as required
• Audit and advise on improvements to the EMS
• Liaise with external auditors with regard to ongoing certification
