Excellent opportunity for Day Care Assistant based in De La Cour House.

We are looking to recruit Care Assistants for our Homes based in Belfast.

DAY CARE ASSISTANT-DE LA COUR HOUSE

48 Woodcot Avenue, Belfast, BT5 5JB

30hrs per week between the hours of 7.45am and 10pm covering a range of shift patterns over a 7-day rota

£8.30 per hour

The role of the Care Assistant is to support our residents, ensuring emotional and social needs are met.  You’ll promote independence, choice and dignity and assist with personal care activities such as washing, dressing and meal times. You’ll be part of daily recreational social activities within groups and one to one. 

To flourish in the role you will be enthusiastic, and genuinely care about making a positive difference to our residents’ lives. It’s important to us that you have the compassion and empathy to work with vulnerable people in a residential home setting. Previous experience of caring for adults would be extremely useful but not essential.  What you do need is to be able to verbally communicate in the English language with the client group, and have good literacy skills and be able to juggle several tasks at the same time
