Commercial Manager

We are now recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join our forward thinking, successful team.  You will manage the Brokerage team in order to achieve the Company forecasts, plans, targets and budgets for the development of existing and new customers in the mid to high net worth market.  You will develop and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with Underwriters, so that the business is able to meet customers’ insurance requirements at favourable terms. 

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE passes at Grade ‘C’ or above, or equivalent / higher qualifications (including English Language and Maths related subject).
  • Minimum of 2 A Level’s, at Grade ‘C’  or above (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, gained within the last 10 years, of working in a similar field.
  • Proven extensive knowledge of Commercial and Personal Lines insurance products.
  • Proven negotiation skills in dealing with Underwriters.
  • Excellent and proven leadership qualities with the ability to delegate tasks.
  • Proven record of developing Insurance schemes and products.
  • Excellent knowledge of Complaints handling, FCA and TCF rules & regulations.
  • Excellent working knowledge of claims handling processes.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.

Desirable Criteria

  • Working towards or attained Chartered Insurance Institute – Advanced Diploma or equivalent
  • Management experience in a similar role
