Bank Project Officers are part of a team whose function is to support the inclusion and participation of young disabled people in mainstream vocational training.

Purpose of the Job

Cedar is contracted by the Department the Economy to provide Disability Support for Participants and Training Providers engaged in Training for Success and Apprenticeships NI.

Bank Project Officers are required to:

–          provide a flexible range of person-centred assistance and supports to young people with disabilities engaged in Training for Success and Apprenticeships NI programmes.

–          work with Training Providers to enhance the support required by participants with disabilities to help them achieve the best possible outcomes.

 

Hours:                        As and when required

Contract:                    Ongoing

Location:                    Various Locations across Northern Ireland, which may include Newry, Belfast and Ballymena

Salary:                        £11.27 per hour

Essential Criteria:    

  • RQF Level 6 qualification (e.g. Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent level professional qualification

AND

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in delivering vocational training or providing learning support

 

OR

  • Minimum RQF level 4 qualification or equivalent 

AND

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as above in delivering vocational training or providing learning support
  • Ability to support young people with behaviours that challenge
  • Ability to build good rapport with young people
  • Full current driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes

This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full
