Description:

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is seeking an accountant to work within their financial reporting team in Belfast.

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day running of treasury management, cash, sales and fixed asset ledgers. The accountant will also be required to aid the smooth running of annual audits and the preparation of first draft resource accounts.

The post holder will work closely with the Department Of Justice to implement the review of financial processes and the consolidation of PSNI accounts. The role will also include the management, testing and development of PSNI’s financial system.

We’re looking for a chartered acountant with a full membership to one of the main professional bodies referred to in the application. We desire at least one year of post qualification experience, gained within the last five years in a financial discipline.  Applicants should have experience in the use of Microsoft Office, especialy Word or Excel.
