Reporter based in Bangor responsible for feature work, general new gathering and reporting
The following applicant should have a recognised journalistic qualification, and be educated to A level or above. It is essential that the candidate has a full driving licence and shorthand. The candidate should possess writing flair, be self-motivated and have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. An in depth knowledge of the Ards and North Down areas would be advantageous. Good communication and personal skills for dealing with the public are vital.
The successful applicant will join the busy editorial team of the County Down Spectator, based in Bangor, County Down. The responsibilities will include feature work, general news gathering and reporting. In addition an ability to provide coverage of courts, council and various public meetings would be required.
