Description:

Mechanical engineer, to support the AKM product and IDM+ Product family, supporting product engineering, CSs, ECs, ACARs and work on New product development.  Work closely with product manager, Quality and manufacturing to sustain and improve product quality and reach. Lead MCP activities on all AKM platforms. & Cashel platforms. Support mechanical design on new platforms for AP and IP.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Owns AKM product engineering design function.
  • Work on customer specials and maintain Oracle BOM for any part change
  • Leads Engineering Quality interaction for product quality issues. Drives resolution,
  • Work with operations team to develop RCCMs as required. The associate should be contributing to development activities in close relationship with the sales and customer service team in a fast paste environment, to provide our customers with new product features and applications.
  • Drive MCP and support PPV goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or master’s in engineering mechanical
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in sheet metal design, detailed component  design, tolerance analysis, material selection
  • Experience in 3D modelling and drafting – Inventor or solids works or any other design package tools
  • Ability to organize and priorities multiple projects at once
  • Strong problem-solving skills, Detail oriented and biased towards taking action
  • Ability to self-motivate in order to remain on task in an unrestrictive environment
  • Ability to work closely with other associates
  • Strong interpersonal skill set include good technical communication
