To provide support for bar staff and make sure that necessary supplies are adequately stocked.

Job Description: Floor Staff

Hours of work: Variable shift patterns from until 04:00hrs

Location of work: Based at Laverys Bradbury Place but will work at any site under control of Lavery Limited on the island of Ireland

Reports to: Bar Staff, Core Staff, Shift Supervisors, Duty Managers and Heads of Departments

Staff responsible for: None

Job objective

To support the bar operations by ensuring that all areas in your control are clean and safe. To provide support for bar staff and make sure that necessary supplies are adequately stocked. You will also need to enact excellent customer service to our customers at all times

Essential requirements

  • Have proof of your right to work in the UK
  • Have a bank account in your own name
  • Be able to converse in English
  • Excellent skills in written English and Math’s
  • Have a fixed place of residence and live within a reasonable traveling distance of place of work, considering travel, when public transport is not available.

Desirable criteria:

  • ILM 2/3/4
  • NVQ 2/3 (hospitality related)
  • Valid first aid certificate
  • Fire warden training
  • Level 2 health and safety training
  • Formal hospitality qualifications (or related)

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Collect bottles/glassware efficiently
  • Clean seating areas, toilets, floors, and corridors
  • Re-stock glassware and fridges behind the bar
  • Remove recycling and rubbish from bar area
  • Assist in keeping the bar, front-of-house, and toilets clean and tidy at all times
  • Keep up-to-date with current promotions and new products
  • Make customers aware of offers on our great food and drink range
  • Maintain your personal self-development by completing training
  • Always adhere to our company policies and procedures, and licensing laws
  • Be involved and contribute to team meetings
  • Carry out instructions given by the management team
