About POPCAKE (www.popcake.com): Popcake is the world’s first fully automatic pancake-making machine that is specifically designed for the commercial foodservice industry. Our product is broadly distributed in hospitality and foodservice channels throughout Ireland.

POPCAKE through it’s Sales & Distribution partner in Ireland, North South Retail ltd is now seeking to expand on this momentum and is looking to recruit a Field sales / End-User specialist to support and grow this market.

Summary:  This position is primarily responsible for the market development nationwide and growth of the POPCAKE business through a combination of prospecting, lead generation, sales presentations, local marketing & promotion initiatives, customer training and end-user account management in the field. This position will report into the General Manager North South Retail

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying suitable new customer opportunities, developing target accounts, establishing initial contacts, setting appointments and managing the call cycle calendar.
  • Delivering sales presentations & product demonstrations with key decision makers (Executive chefs, F&B Directors, Hotel general managers, Purchasing managers, etc) and coordinating the new account set up process with the internal sales team.
  • Responsible for the initial commissioning of machines, training chefs and F&B operators on how best to use the POPCAKE equipment.
  • Scheduling proactive re-training sessions and basic machine cleaning and preventative maintenance (diagnosing issues, triage solutions) and, if practical perform basic repairs on site “OR” “where appropriate” (i.e. high-volume accounts) replacing the POPCAKE equipment with a fully functioning replacement machine.
  • Responding to “emergency only” call-outs / requests for “immediate” service to select customers.
  • As needed, manage relevant trade show booths and exhibitions as the relevant Popcake representative and product expert.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in a related field

Package:

  • £30,000 base salary, plus commission, plus pension, plus 28 days holiday, plus Company vehicle.

Computer & Other requirements:

  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
  • A valid driver’s license with a good clean driving record
  • Ability to travel overnight for sales and service calls if needed
