Excellent opportunity for a Patrol Officer based in Altnagelvin Hospital Car Park, Co Derry

Position: PATROL OFFICER

Reporting to: SUPERVISOR

Salary- Minimum wage

CAR PARK RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist customers/ users of the car park
  • Patrol car parks on a regular basis
  • Improve accessibility for all site users
  • The protection of emergency blue light routes
  • The protection of disabled spaces
  • The implementation of effective and fair parking arrangements
  • The management of abuse of parking facilities, and reduced congestion from circulating traffic
  • Issue parking tickets to drivers of vehicles that contravene the Trust`s Car Parking Operational Procedures 
  • In Pay and Display zones, ensure that all vehicles not displaying a valid ticket must be issued with a parking notice and also expired tickets, copies forwarded to Supervisor
  • Ensure security is optimised
  • Display appropriate SIA Licence when clamping at all times (if applicable)
  • Accompany the Client when collecting cash
  • Assist in implementing health and safety and environmental procedures
  • Accurate and immediate reporting of all incidents and faults and ensure supervisor is notified and report to the Belfast office immediately
  • Any other tasks as required

STOCK RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain relevant stock supplies

TIMES OF SHIFT AND UNIFORM

  • You have responsibility to the public and your colleagues to start your shifts punctually.  If through ill health or any other cause you are delayed, then you should notify your Supervisor immediately.
  • Arrive on time for shift, weekends, public holidays, when and where necessary
  • Full uniform must be worn at all times and ensure it is clean and presentable

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPONSIBLITIES

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by being polite, courteous and helpful and following company customer service standard – ‘Good morning/afternoon, May I help you’ and thanking the customer at all times
  • Any disputes must be handled with care and courteousness and referred immediately to Supervisor

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Adherence to all H&S requirements

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Health and Safety requirements
  • Compliance to Trust’s Car Parking Operational Procedures
  • Compliance to scorecard measurements in place
  • Compliance to SIA Licence requirements where applicable
