Direct a responsive customer service support center for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) customers. Provide technical and direct inside sales to ensure customer satisfaction and drive sales. Coordinate between factory and customer to ensure the product meets customer needs and manufacturing capability.
Assist customers with product selection through applications engineering.
Determine allowable product variation, understand product specifications and provide recommendations to customers regarding variation or proper product selection.
Prepare and submit product quotations, respond to direct customer inquiries with verbal price estimates.
Monitor and improve material margins via pricing strategies.
Facilitate inside sales initiatives within the commercial operations team, utilizing AE’s to drive growth initiatives.
Provide order entry and customer service support via all means of communication in a timely, professional, accurate manner.
Provide status information to customers on existing orders, allowable changes and price impacts.
Understand and make pricing recommendations for non-standard circumstances.
Ensure a proactive, solution-oriented customer service center. Ensure establishment of appropriate metrics and drive performance among the team to achieve targets.
Drive resolution to customer issues through organization and elevate as needed in the organization.
Coordinate the application engineering group’s efforts as it pertains to training, sales reps., visiting customers to support sales efforts, creating new product bulletins and sample kits, trade show promotions.
Supervise and communicate with application engineers and customer service representatives to ensure a unified responsive approach to all customers.
Create and execute development plans for direct reports.
Maintain contacts with customers, including travel as required.
Drive Policy Deployment objectives and KPIs as developed for each area of responsibility. In particular, quotation and order quality and OTD along with sales targets.
Champion use of Fortive Business System tools across areas of responsibility.
Drive and maintain high engagement scores within Commercial Ops Team.
Other duties as assigned.
4 year technical degree
Multi-lingual (European languages and English) Or willingness to learn a language
3+ year manufacturing experience preferred
3+ years supervisory experience preferred
