Delivering high standards of bike repair and maintenance whilst assisting in the smooth running, efficiency and quality control of the workshop.

What will I be doing?

Delivering high standards of bike repair and maintenance whilst assisting in the smooth running, efficiency and quality control of the workshop.

Duties and responsibilities:

Product knowledge

  • Demonstrate expert advice, guidance and support to customers

 Maintenance

  • Assembly and set up of high quality bikes
  • Servicing of bikes, suspension systems, hydraulic disc brakes to a very high standard
  • Monitoring and assessing quality of completed bikes using quality checklists
  • Liaising closely with Sales Assistants regarding customer orders

 Customer Service

  • Provide excellent face to face support to all customers via professional and efficient service
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer care and responsiveness
  • Show awareness to customers of product sales and promotions
  • Provide support to sister retail store

 Security

  • Ensure appropriate security procedures are followed, locking bikes, security tagging all merchandise etc…
  • Recognise and monitor security risks and thefts

 Housekeeping

  • Provide support to team with the opening and closure of shop by maintaining high standards of housekeeping in all shop and storage areas (including polishing display units, hoovering floors)

 Health & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations

 Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 GCSE’s (including Maths and English Grade C or above) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in bike repair and maintenance in a similar environment
  • Advanced knowledge of bikes and bicycle parts
  • 6 months experience in a customer facing retail environment
