The Support Worker will provide support to adults with learning disabilities and will be based predominantly at the Cloonavin Green Project in Coleraine

Support Worker at The Cloonavin Green Project

The Support Worker & Night Support Worker will provide support to adults with learning disabilities and will be based predominantly at The Cloonavin Green Project in Coleraine. The Cloonavin Green Project is a supported living initiative in Coleraine for 25 adults with learning disabilities. Support will include help with budgeting, cooking, domestic help, socialisation. Naturally, some service users require additional help, including domestic and personal care.

Day Duty

Salary Remuneration: £8.05 per hour + Pension opportunity + mileage allowance (£0.415 per mile) + sleep-in allowance

Description & Duties:Full Time (35 hours per week) or Part Time (21 hours per week)

This position involves shift work including night duty on a rotational basis. Sleep-in may be required on occasion.

Shifts are typically 8am to 3pm and 3pm to 10pm

Night Duty

Salary Remuneration: £8.05 per hour + Pension opportunity

Description & Duties:30 hours per week – any three nights out of seven or 20 hours per week – any two nights out of seven.

Shifts are 10pm to 8am

Requirements: The successful candidate will preferably hold an NVQ in Health & Social Care / Child Care / Early Years / B-Tech National Diploma in Social Care or other relevant qualification. 

Access to your own transport with appropriate insurance is desirable but not essential.

Location: The successful applicant will be based at the Cloonavin Green Project in Coleraine but may also support service users in the surrounding area.

 

Outreach Worker

The Outreach Worker will provide support to adults with learning disabilities who live in his/her own home. 

Salary Remuneration: £8.05 per hour + Pension opportunity + mileage allowance (£0.415 per mile)

Description & Duties:Full Time (35 hours per week) or Part Time (21 hours per week)

This position involves shift work including night duty on a rotational basis. Sleep-in may be required on occasion.

Shifts are typically 8am to 3pm and 3pm to 10pm

Location: Coleraine and surrounding area.

 

Support Worker at The Woodford Park Project

Woodford Park is a supported living initiative in Coleraine for adults with learning disabilities who may require positive behaviour support. The position can be physically, emotionally and mentally demanding, but as such, offers incredible job satisfaction for those who enjoy a professional challenge. You’ll be working for and alongside the most respected practitioners in the industry. Expectations are high and this job therefore, is not for the feint hearted! Salary Remuneration: £9.50 per hour + Pension opportunity + sleep-in allowance

Description & Duties:Full Time (35 hours per week) or Part Time (21 hours per week)

Shifts are typically 8am to 3pm and 3pm to 10pm

Requirements: The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year’s direct experience working with people who have learning disabilities in a community setting and a level II in Health & Social Care or equivalent. Experience of working with service users who exhibit challenging behaviour and have a level III qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable. Equally, alternative experience or qualification that illustrates your commitment to the industry and to vulnerable people will also be valued.
