Role:     Belfast Met are seeking to appoint a Student Liaison Officer on a full-time temporary basis.

The post-holder will be responsible for the enhancement of the student experience, through the development of a programme of activities and events to be co-ordinated across the College Campuses.  The post-holder will also co-ordinate the election of Student Governor, Student President and Student Campus Officers on an annual basis.  The post-holder will be responsible for the encouraging student feedback in line with the college student voice strategy.

What you need:


  • Either hold a Level 3 qualification e.g. BTEC National, GNVQ Advanced or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject* PLUS a minimum of one years’ experience working in a student focused environment OR A minimum of two years’ experience working in a student focused environment
  • English GCSE at Grade C or above, OR Essential Skills level 2 (or higher) in Communication, or equivalent
  • Maths GCSE at Grade C or above, OR Essential Skills level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or equivalent
  • Experience of setting up and working with databases
  • Experience of working with students in a student focused environment providing a high standard of customer care
  • Knowledge of student support services including Student Union and referral mechanisms
  • Experience in the development/delivery of student enhancement programmes
  • Knowledge of promoting student activity
