Software Engineer

Bringing Ingenuity to Life

We’re an innovation and transformation consultancy that believes in the power of ingenuity to build a positive-human future in a technology-driven world. Our diverse teams of experts combine innovative thinking with breakthrough-technologies to progress further, faster.

With a global network of FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 clients, we’ll offer you unrivalled opportunities for growth and the freedom to excel. Combining strategies, technologies and innovation, we turn complexity to opportunity and deliver enduring results, enabling you to build a lasting career.

Isn’t it time you joined us?

Our developers love technology. They’re always frustrated when doing things in a legacy way. They’re constantly innovating new and fit-for-purpose solutions for our clients. They’re also pragmatists, and so they can understand the design constraints of projects and get the job done. They’re agilest and they thrive on incremental delivery. They’d chose to get functioning code out, rather than missing a release for perfection.

As a developer you’ll be operating in a small pod. The pod will have responsibility for successful delivery of a release. You’ll deliver code using an agile methodology. We put a lot of trust in our pods to meet on their commitments and find the rhythm and ways of working that suits them.

Our pods are all staffed with a variety of experience. We supplement development expertise with DevOps and Test Automation specialists within the pod, who will help coach the team and make the delivery successful. That means that you might get the chance to develop your DevOps or automation expertise. We emphasise the Dev in DevOps. We like to give you ownership and control of the processes for taking your code into live. Conversely, we want you to also contribute to developing the pod, that might mean sharing your expertise in a tool or tech, coaching other members of the team.

We work on diverse projects. You’ll be a dynamic and flexible engineer, keen to learn new things and put them into place. You could be developing new back-end business logic in one sprint, and then looking at implementing a new MVC approach in the next. You probably have a core skillset, be that in Java. .NET, or JavaScript, but it’s your understanding of data structures, algorithms, libraries and development methods that are important.
