SAM is a leading manufacturer of MDF Mouldings in the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth we are currently recruiting for Day Shift, Night Shift and Weekend Production Operatives to join our award winning team.

Positions available:

Moulder Operative (Night Shift x1 Weekend Shift x1)

Job Duties

Reporting to the Manufacturing Cell Leader, you will be responsible for :-

  • Manually setting and feeding machines to standard operating procedures and in a fast paced, manufacturing environment.

  • Following a production schedule to achieve the time scales set and quality standards expected.

  • Complete all relevant documents accurately.

  • Compliance of the SAM policies and procedures

  • Take part in meetings/teams/projects as required

  • Carry out all other duties as required

To be successful you must:-

  • You must have at least 6 months previous experience in manually setting machinery.
  • Experience of lathes, beam saws, mills, moulders and/or spindle moulders
  • Fluent in English

  • Experience following a production schedule.

  • Excellent numeracy skills. 

  • Be Target driven

  • Previous moulder operations and the ability to read CAD drawings would be an advantage.

Hours of Work :       

Nights: 44 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 7pm-7am)
Weekends: 29.3 hours (Friday- Saturday 7am-6.30pm, Sunday 7am-4:00pm)


Rate of Pay :   Depending on postion/skill level:
Starting rate of £8.30 per hour – £9.30 p.h (+ 22% Shift Allowance) 
Weekends: Starting rate of £8.30 – £9.30 p.h ( + 33% Shift Allowance)
