Your role: Network Support Engineer – You will join a team of highly technical, motivated and hardworking individuals to support, maintain and improve Tibus’ technical infrastructure, from our Belfast office.  You will take responsibility to maintain technical infrastructure, performing troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure problems, while delivering and supporting customer requirements.

 

Day to day you will:

  • Assist in maintaining Tibus’ Core and Customer infrastructure including Core Network Infrastructure, Storage Area Networks and Client Connectivity Networks.
  • Provide delivery and maintenance of infrastructure and services to the requirements of Tibus customers, on time and on budget.
  • Ensure service stability and compliance with SLAs.
  • Complete network changes on behalf of other, non-network engineers.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to Tibus Customers and to the Tibus Network Operations Centre team, assisting with live network issues.
  • Participate in team meetings and ‘brain-storming’ sessions.
  • Peer review work proposed or carried out by other Tibus Engineers.
  • Assist in the development of other Engineers within the Tibus team.
  • Represent Tibus as required.
  • Carry out any other duties commensurate to the role.

  • You are passionate about the Internet and related technologies, and the benefits that it brings to the business.
  • You are determined and take a pragmatic approach to trouble shooting.
  • You are keen to progress and develop your technical skills.

It goes without saying that you have worked in different and challenging environments, have the relevant technical experience in network engineering.  We’d love it if you were CCNA qualified, or at least actively working towards that, although relevant hands on experience is more important than having the qualification.
