Following FinTrU’s announcement to create an additional 605 jobs, we have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join FinTrU’s established Marketing Team. This role will be based in Derry/Londonderry.

Following FinTrU’s announcement to create an additional 605 jobs, we have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join FinTrU’s established Marketing Team. This role will be based in Derry/Londonderry. 

Reporting to the Senior Associate, this role will work closely with the team, employees and managers to ensure effective delivery of all elements of the Marketing function. This role will provide marketing assistance to the team with primary focus on the North West Office both internally and externally.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing team in organising various projects
  • Assist in the organising of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success
  • Prepare and deliver promotional presentations
  • Assist with composing and publishing online content on the company’s website and social media accounts
  • Assist with writing marketing literature (brochures, press releases, etc) to augment the company’s presence in the market
  • Create offline and online designs such as; posters, visuals, flyers, etc using Adobe software such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Create and edit video marketing content
  • Communicate with local external stakeholders and encourage trusting relationships both internally and externally.
  • Internal communications assistance with particular focus on FinTrU’s cultural activities
  • Assist with SEO, email, social media and implement strategic marketing campaigns
  • Perform general administration duties across supported technologies and platforms including monitoring of contact inboxes on websites and email marketing platforms

Key Requirements

  • Minimum one years’ experience as Marketing Assistant or similar
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, social media marketing and content management systems
  • Proficiency in using the following packages: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and iMovie (or similar video editing software)
  • Experience of brand image control and digital video editing and creation
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Well-organised with a people-oriented approach
  • High quality communication and people skills
  • Strong editorial and grammatical skills
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a marketing, business or design related discipline

 

Desirable Experience

  • Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
  • Advanced experience of web analytics packages (e.g. Google Analytics, Social Media Analytics) and proven experience in using data for future campaign improvement
  • Experience in corporate branding and graphic design
  • Experience developing brand packaging, brochures, advertising and a variety of other marketing materials
  • Previous experience in a professional services industry
  • Corporate photography and videography experience
  • HTML skills
