The Role;

As an Associate you will work alongside a team of like-minded high, performing individuals, working on engagements for large Global clients, within Financial Regulations, Corporate Restructuring, Commercial or Financial Services Contract Negotiation and other contract related work. You will be provided with training in the drafting, negotiation and management of industry-specific contracts. You will then utilise and enhance these skills on a variety of client engagements whilst gaining exposure to Axiom’s tech-enabled environment. This is a very exciting and unique opportunity to build a career locally, but operate globally.

Our approach also reduces costs, often by 50% or more, through a combination of lower factor costs, higher productivity and the reduction of management overhead and re-work usually incurred by law firms.This is an opportunity to join our Engagement Managers, Subject Matter Experts and other team members, using a variety of client and Axiom technology to undertake work on a variety of engagements of varying duration for our Fortune 100 clients. 


 Successful Candidates

Beyond these characteristics, here are the required skills, knowledge, capabilities, and education for this particular role:

 Essential Criteria:

  • LLB Degree and/or Legally qualified
  • Minimum of 6 months’ legal experience within a law firm, as part of an in-house legal team or within Axiom
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changes
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to handle competing priorities
  • Exposure to a commercial Legal environment or other Professional Services organisations
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – especially Microsoft Word Outlook, and Excel
  • Organisational fit for the Axiom culture – exhibiting the core values of Irresistible, Fresh, Committed and Thoughtful
  • Legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom


Desirable Criteria:

  • Client-facing experience
  • Previous experience of reviewing and drafting contracts
  • Commercial contracts experience
  • Previous exposure to recognised case management systems
