Office based and working under the direction of the Sales Manager, you will be involved in managing and developing new and existing customer relationships to maximise sales across a mix of industrial and commercial accounts. Liaising regularly with Business Development Managers and other members of the sales team, this will include:

  • Responsibility for delivering against agreed monthly, quarterly and annual gross margin and budgeted targets
  • Continually seeking new markets and product sales opportunities, as well as opening and developing new trading accounts
  • Maintaining a sales plan for your area and planning for growth, whilst also evaluating and reporting on competitor activities to identify additional sales opportunities

As an experienced Internal Account Manager, totally committed to delivering a first-class service and ideally with a chemical industry or related background, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • A proven track record in a similar internal sales/ sales support role and the ability to build on an already impressive customer base by generating additional sales
  • A sales orientated outlook and a results driven approach, coupled with excellent communication/customer facing skills and a confident telephone manner
  • Plenty of initiative and a good work ethic, along with the know-how to organise the day to day operation of the internal sales functions
