The 3fivetwo Group are currently seeking to appoint a Group Technology Innovation Manager to it’s growing business. The successful candidate will be based at 3fivetwo Healthcare, Titanic Quarter, Belfast but may be required to travel to other Company locations as and when required.

Based in Belfast, the 3fivetwo Group is a local organisation founded in 2004 by two Medical Directors.  Their vision was to create a world class provider of healthcare by putting patients to the forefront of everything they did, this was to become the Company’s mission.

Job Summary:

Responsible to the Director of Operations, the Group Technology Innovation Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the IT function of the 3fivetwo Group, the IT systems and the telecommunications infrastructure. The post-holder will also report to the Board on an ongoing basis, providing technical leadership, foresight and senior level technological advice and information to support strategic and operational decision making. The Group Technology Innovation Manager will keep abreast of digital trends and emerging technology, as well as recommending innovative solutions to meet the Group’s business objectives.

The successful candidate will be based at 3fivetwo Healthcare, Titanic Quarter, Belfast but may be required to travel to other Company locations as and when required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead and manage the IT function of the Group, the IT systems and the telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring that the team provide a service that is responsive to the needs of the Group.       
  • To assess the needs of the organisation and identify the future direction required to ensure the organisation is future fit in a digital age, including aligning the ways of working and organisation design. This would be achieved through Group interaction and understanding the business strategy.
  • To lead in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Group’s digital strategy, working closely with the Board and senior management team.
  • To develop and deliver a strategic digital roadmap and delivery plan which supports the delivery of the Group’s business objectives, ensuring appropriate expertise, systems and processes are in place to support the IT function.
  • To define IT processes and protocols, as well as supporting staff training as required. 
  • To identify and evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their deployment as appropriate to meet the Group’s business objectives.
  • To deliver regular reports to the Director of Operations to demonstrate performance against agreed expectations and requirements.
  • To put in place the appropriate measures and contingency plans to mitigate and manage risks associated with digital systems and initiatives.
  • To ensure that an adequate plan for disaster recovery and carrying out back-ups of the Group’s data is maintained and has been effectively implemented. 
  • To lead on IT purchasing, leasing, licensing and hosting to mitigate risk and ensure value for money for the Group.
  • To actively manage business relationships, understand business priorities and provide proactive, solution focused support. 
  • To monitor procurement frameworks and practices to drive value for money in respect of the Group’s contractual relationships with third parties.

Experience at senior level of leading an IT function within a complex commercial organisation, providing a service that is responsive to the organisation’s needs.   

Experience of developing, implementing and maintaining digital strategies within a commercial organisation at a senior level.

Demonstratable experience of identifying emerging technologies, exploring and evaluating them to the benefit of the organisation.

 

Special Knowledge and Skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify technological solutions.

Ability to prioritise at short notice, as business needs develop/change.

Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience whilst also having the depth of knowledge to communicate effectively with technical experts.    

Capable of building and maintaining effective working relationships both internally and externally with a range of stakeholders.
