Purpose of role

OCO has developed a business intelligence platform Velociti which uses machine learning and predictive analytics to score companies on their investment and trade potential. Our end users are economic development agencies and consulting firms. Velociti is a fast-growing product, we are continually adding new features and increasing the size of the database in order stay ahead of a fast-moving industry.

The jobholder will work within the Velociti team to support client delivery, which will include research, data entry and analysis.

Key responsibilities of the role

  • Under the supervision of the Database Manager this role will involve;
  • Monitor and review data records ensuring information is correct and up to date
  • Research, analyse, and interpret market trends to help identify suitable companies to be added to the database
  • Enter data accurately and on a timely basis
  • Conduct desk research in specific markets and sectors worldwide to identify relevant companies for clients
  • Effective communication with Team Leader and colleagues to ensure efficient productivity standards are met
  • Prioritise projects and /or tasks to ensure deadlines are met
  • Account manage and respond to client requests at the appropriate level as and when requested

Job Specification


Third level degree or equivalent professional qualification in Marketing, Business, Economics (other disciplines will be considered where candidates can demonstrate core skills required).

Desirable criteria
