Working as part of the Biocataysis team based in our global headquarters in Craigavon, you will be responsible for developing and applying computational chemistry/biology approaches.

The role

Working as part of the Biocataysis team based in our global headquarters in Craigavon, you will be responsible for developing and applying computational chemistry/biology approaches to engineer enzymes to achieve desirable functions, in support of multiple enzyme evolution projects with close collaboration with biologists and chemists.

Essential Criteria

  • PhD in Computational Biology/Chemistry or in biophysics with subsequent experience in biomolecular modelling
  • Significant Postdoc experience in protein structure simulation, protein-protein interface free energy prediction and enzymatic mechanism calculation
  • Track record of designing, conducting, statistically analysing and writing up scientific publications

Desirable Criteria

(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)

  • Significant experience of  Biotech Industrial experience in enzyme engineering
  • Experience in homology modelling. 
  • Experience in protein-protein interface characterization.
