The opportunity
We are continuing to grow our Commercial & Procurement (C&P) Team. The C&P Team deliver cutting edge commercial analytics reporting and contract & procurement management for our clients.  Through our work we drive performance improvement and efficiency savings across multiple services and operational functions.
As a C&P Manager you will be involved in leading in the delivery of:
  • Commercial Analytics
  • Contract Performance Management
  • Obligation Management
  • Contract Risk Management
  • Contract Change Control Management
  • Procurement Support

Your key responsibilities
As a Commercial & Procurement Manager you will be based out of the UK&I Delivery & Innovation Centre in Belfast but as the role is client focused, an element of travel will be required to deliver client requirements.
Day to Day activities include:
  • Planning, managing and executing the delivery of projects, for multiple clients.
  • ‘Hands on’ delivery of solutions through the entire life cycle including day to day management of ongoing engagements
  • Lead interaction with client stakeholders (often at a senior level).
  • Strong contribution to knowledge sharing efforts, reviews and continually improves processes
  • Writing client reports including findings and recommendations
  • Front client negotiations on commercial aspects to successful conclusion
  • Lead on commercial expertise to identify and derive commercial savings for clients.
  • Reviewing and quality assurance of work products
Skills and attributes for success
  • Proven negotiation experience
  • People Management
  • Ability to build a strong team and be a strong role model, mentor and coach
  • Demonstrate commercial innovation for clients
  • CIPS or IACCM accreditation, or relevant
To qualify for the role you must have
  • Minimum 5 years Commercial/Procurement experience
  • Degree level qualification (ideally Business Studies or Law) or equivalent by qualification or experience
  • Experience of managing projects/contracts in part or full in a client facing environment and aligning resource appropriately.
  • Client relationship building Skills
  • Staff management and development
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Financial awareness & analysis skills
  • Engagement assurance and commercial risk management
  • On-going business development both internally and with clients
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • A practical approach to solving issues and complex problems with the ability to deliver insightful and solutions.
  • Experience gained through working in the public sector and local government in particular is preferred but not essential
