Chief Executive Officer

Share Discovery Village

An excellent opportunity for a Chief Executive Officer who will be based in Co Fermanagh.  Reporting to the Chairman and Non-Executive Board, the successful candidate will be an ambitious strategic thinker who will have the skills to lead, communicate, develop and support our outstanding staff.  The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that the Share meets and exceeds its main objectives of providing opportunities for all irrespective of ability, social, ethnic or gender background, to participate in a wide range of educational and recreational activities at our 64-acre Lakeland site.

Principle Responsibilities:

The CEO will have the following responsibilities:

  • In consultation with the Board of Directors, identify, develop and direct the implementation of Share’s business strategy.
  • Provide strategic advice to the Board of Directors on the governance of the organisation.
  • Ensure the efficient implementation of an annual operational plan that delivers excellent financial results whilst maintaining Share’s charitable ethos.
  • Develop senior management team members.
  • Define appropriate, detailed, responsibilities and reporting methods for all staff.
  • Ensure that lines of communication are established and maintained at all levels of the organisation to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement key performance indicators to ensure Share’s quality, operational trading and financial targets are met.
  • Develop and oversee Share’s sales and marketing functions to guarantee ongoing growth and success in both current and potential new markets.
  • Demonstrate robust leadership, communication and people skills in order to build strong relationships with staff at all levels and encourage an environment of openness, collaboration and innovation.
  • Ensure that Share meets all of its lawful, ethical, financial, health and safety, and environmental responsibilities with respect to staff, customers, neighbours and the wider community.

Essential Experience

1,Must have at least five years’ experience of successfully leading a business and management team at an executive level.

2,Must have strong strategic planning, prioritisation and execution skills.

3,Proven ability to manage multiple objectives.

4,Demonstrate experience in leadership and oversight of finance, human resources, marketing and sales functions within an organisation.

5,A proven track record of identifying, negotiating and securing funding and new income generation opportunities.

6,Demonstrate a history of successful engagement and communication at all levels within a business organisation and externally with clients and statutory bodies. 

Salary: Salary range £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (salary negotiable subject to relevant experience).

Bonus:  Possibility of incremental bonus based on performance.
