At Just we are recruiting for our future and we currently have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a System Administrator/Tester on a permanent basis from our office in Belfast.
You will perform tasks and projects under the direction of the Operations Manager which ensure an efficient product development cycle and ongoing support of published applications.
You’ll create value in supporting the delivery of solutions that meet Group demands by:
Enabling the Group entities to partner with clients and exploit opportunities in the marketplace.
Ensuring supported applications operate within risk parameters and appropriate quality assurance measures.
Reacting to changing legislation and policy directives.
Some of the core areas of responsibility will include:
Testing of applications – You’ll be expected to test system changes and new features within existing guidelines and standards, developing a good understanding of the areas of the Group Distribution business and identifying areas of improvement/change in system functions. You will also Interact with clients directly and act as point of escalation for queries, grade and escalate critical client queries.
Development Life Cycle – You may be required to support other areas of the development lifecycle outside of core testing, such as suggesting improvements and new features based on user feedback, assisting in producing presentational materials such as demonstration system reports/other documents and also hold responsible for the completion and submission of JIRA’s.
Administrative Requirements – You’ll ensure that all records of client specific requirements are kept up to date, accessible and implemented as these may be required to ensure any queries from users are dealt with inside a specified timeframe with regular updates on progress and fed back to the client.
You’ll have responsibility for carrying out regular system checks to ensure accuracy on provider rate data, with any inaccuracies investigated and highlighted to the specific provider. General system checks will also be required, and any issues found to be fed back as a means of identifying issues before they become an issue to Group clients.
Support and Maintenance – Finally you will support the users of the systems with general operational queries and maintenance such as setting up new users, updating scheme details, identifying extension of existing functionality and authorising administrative level access requests.
Skills we are looking for
Good general IT knowledge
Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and pick up new tasks
Ability to work within a team as well as complete tasks individually
Experience working within an administrative role in a similar environment
An aptitude for systems development and the ability to understand and manage complex concepts
