 Job Description

The Support Worker / Night Support Worker is part of the team whose function is to meet the practical, physical and emotional needs of individuals in receipt of services within the Cedar Foundation Supported Living Schemes.

 

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:  

Support Worker / Night Support Worker                             

REF: 18/166/SW-NSW-MD/WEB 

The Cedar foundation deliver a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Our services are centred around the individual needs of each person and are delivered throughout Northern Ireland.

The Support Worker / Night Support Worker is part of the team whose function is to meet the practical, physical and emotional needs of individuals in receipt of services within the Cedar Foundation Supported Living Schemes. 

Through a key worker system, he/she will also have involvement in the designing of individual programmes of support and be responsible for delivering the accommodation support and care packages. 

Hours:    25 hours per week (days duty over 3 week rota) / 20 hours per week (night duty over 3 weeks rota)

Contract:  Permanent

Location:   Meadowvale Court, Lisburn, Living Options

Salary:  £15,892 per annum, pro rata

Essential:           

  • Numeracy & literacy (English language) skills
  • Registered or agreeable to applying for registration with the N. Ireland Social Care Council
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable evidence of 6 months experience of providing physical care / support for individuals within the last 2 years
  • Available to work shifts as required 

Desirable:                          

  • NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
  • English to GCSEgrade C or equivalent.
