Structural Engineer/Materials Scientist – KTP Associate

Originally founded in 1974, Tracey Concrete Ltd has grown steadily and currently employs 140 people in its plant in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh. The company manufactures and supplies a wide range of precast products including Jacking Pipes, S&S pipes, manhole chambers, coverslabs, caisson rings, kerbs, lintels and sills, cattle slats. Traditionally the company supplied concrete products to the civil engineering, house building and agricultural sectors in Ireland. However, in recent years the company has supplied precast concrete drainage products to the civil engineering sector in Scotland, England and Wales. In 2009 the company began manufacturing concrete jacking pipes and currently supply pipes to Tunnelling contractors in the UK, Europe and Canada. The strategic aim of Tracey Concrete Ltd is to be recognised as a World Class Supplier of precast concrete products for civil engineering applications.
We wish to recruit a skilled graduate to work as a KTP Associate in Tracey Concrete Ltd in collaboration with Queen’s University Belfast. Through this Knowledge Transfer partnership, the aim is to develop an innovative solution to use what is widely considered a waste material in the pre-cast concrete industry. This project will deliver sustainable manufacturing practices that will positively impact the environment and the health and safety of workers in concrete manufacturing processes.

Salary: £24,000 – £34,000 per annum. One of the key KTP benefits for graduates is access to a £11,100 training and travel budget over the 28 month project.
