Codec is looking for Software Engineers and Business Consultants at all levels to join our growing Belfast City Centre Office.

As we continue to experience explosive growth, Codec are looking for experienced Software Engineers, Business Consultants and Functional Consultants to join the growing Codec Business Applications practice in Belfast, Northern Ireland to work as part of a wider team of over 100 consultants and engineers.

Our team work on the largest Microsoft implementations in Ireland in fast paced environments where Microsoft products are used to implement complex business processes in an accelerated manner. 

You will be a part of the Belfast City Centre based team along with business analysts, project managers, developers, infrastructure architects and testers to deliver complete Microsoft solutions to customers.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Codec team, one or more of the following responsibilities will align to your current skillset :

  • Developing, maintaining and supporting custom ASP.NET portals integrating with Dynamics 365 and other Microsoft based products.
  • Becoming a recognised company expert for ADX Studio, XRM Community Portals, Microsoft CRM portals and custom ASP.NET MVC portals and Dynamics plugin development.
  • Identify project risks and participate in defining risk mitigation and control activities. 
  • Provide mentoring support to other developers and support assistants.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure implementations are in line with the proposed design and overall standards
  • Work as part of the wider development team on smaller projects towards a quality, on-time delivery
  • Evaluate new products and 3rd party components when the need arises to assess their fitness for purpose
  • Maintain lean documentation, ensuring it is kept relevant and useful.
  • Work with senior members of the Microsoft Practice on developing and implementing operational improvements within the team
  • Assist in project planning process, in estimating development effort and allocation of development and testing tasks

Desired Experience & Technical Skills:

Our roles will combine deep functional and technical knowledge of the the Microsoft technology stack with excellent client engagement and consulting skills.  For senior roles, you will have worked before in a customer-facing role and will quickly adapt to and understand unfamiliar industry sectors and business processes.

Across all our available roles, experience in one or more the following areas would be desirable:

  • Pre-Sales Experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • Business Consultancy – Requirements Gathering and Confirmation
  • Front End Web Design Skills – Multiple Javascript Frameworks
  • Microsoft ASP.NET Development – MVC, .NET Core
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 experience
  • Microsoft Dynamics Portals / XRM Community Portals / ADX Studio
  • Microsoft SharePoint / .NET / C#
  • Practical experience using Dynamics 365 CE apps such as Dynamics 365 Field Service, Project Service
  • Dynamics CRM/365 extension development
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2016/2013/2010
  • Microsoft SSIS / Kingswaysoft / Scribe
  • Practical experience with Power BI or similar Reporting Tools
  • Unit Testing Frameworks (such as NUnit)
  • Windows Communication Foundation
  • Xamarin iOS / Android Application Development
  • Candidates with active Microsoft Certifications will be looked upon favourably.
