Oracle is looking for bright, motivated developers to implement innovative e-commerce applications based on and showcasing the Oracle Commerce Cloud application suite. Candidates must be focused on developing high quality applications for complex business tasks while keeping up to date with state of the art technologies in latest Javascript frameworks and web-based UI development, to development in JEE.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.


  • Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment
  • 2+ years of software engineering or related experience
  • Commercial development experience using web UI technologies such as JavaScript, CSS and HTML5
  • Knowledge and experience implementing object-oriented design patterns
  • Sound knowledge software architecture, implementation, and problem solving skills
  • Be a team player with good communication skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of others including developers, business analysts, UX designers, product managers, technical writers, QA Engineers and technical support personnel
  • Interest in software development excellence and in delivering solutions to a high quality
  • Familiarity with standard professional software development processes including source code control, unit testing, and code reviews


  • Advanced HTML skills: HTML5, XHTML, CSS
  • Experience developing with React, Knockout, JQuery and require.js
  • Experience developing applications using object-oriented UI design patterns
  • Experience with SQL and modeling data in relational databases
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience developing cloud based applications
  • Experience developing server-side JAVA for enterprise level applications or other server side development experience. 


The job demands a capacity for sustained work so that all the necessary phases from specification through to implementation can be completed within a demanding time frame.  Although the job is based in Belfast, there may be opportunity for some travel to other locations or customer sites.
