The successful candidate will act as the responsible person and be accountable for the operational management, development and service transformation of Social care within Camphill Community Glencraig. The person appointed will be a member of the Executive Director’s Senior Management Team, expected to secure the impelemtation of Glencraig’s strategic objectives, development plan and contribute to overall leadership, management and sustainability within the Community, reporting to the Executive Director.
A social Care Governance Coordinator employed by SEHSCT has typically supported the organisation with Social Care Governance being placed from SEHSCT in Glencraig. It is envisaged that the role of Director of Social Care will replace the Social Care Governance Coordinator going forward.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain their personal development through ongoing training, supervision and learning. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain registration with their relevant professional body.
Salary: Incremental Scale from £48,169.38 to £53,821.47 per annum
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Length of Contract: Permanent
Essential Criteria: QCF Level 6 (degree level) in Professional Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
7 years post qualification experience with a minimum of 3 years in the past 5 years working with children and/or young people and/or adults with complex needs and learning disabilities at a senior level.
Must be registered with NISCC as a Social Worker
Current full driving licence valid in UK with access to a car on appointment – this criteria will be waived in the case of an applicant whose disability prohibits driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements.
Have commenced the post qualifying framework and agreed to complete same within a timescale as agreed by manager, and in line with regulatory requirements.
Must, at the time of taking up the post, have completed a minimum of
7 years post qualification experience.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience gained within the last 5 years of working at a Senior Level (such as a department head) delivering Social Care Services for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities
The ability to interpret financial information and manage significant budgets
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate the senior social care managers and act with tact and emotional intelligence
