Oxfam now recruiting a permanent, full-time Shop Manager based in Dublin

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 per week

The Role

Oxfam Ireland is looking for a Shop Manager based in Ringsend who wants to do good, work with volunteers and make their shop part of the local community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training and supervising a team of volunteers. The Shop Manager will manage budgets while maintaining statistical and financial records. The Shop Manager will be responsible for dealing with customer queries and complaints as well as overseeing product pricing and stock sourcing through donations while maximising profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating volunteers to do so. The Shop Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, preparing promotional materials and displays and liaising with Head Office.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 1-year experience of retail management in a related sector
  • Demonstrable experience of retail management including sales, budgets and sales analysis
  • Product knowledge and trend awareness to generate sales
  • Previous experience of merchandising and social media to increase sales
  • Previous relevant experience of building teams and motivate them to achieve sales
