Seagate’s facility in Londonderry is among the most advanced in the world in the design, development and volume manufacturing of recording heads, which write information onto and read information from the recording disc within the data storage device.

Security Manager (Ref: SM/184766)

Reporting to the Security Director, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of Security operations and provide the leadership required to insure that the proper policies and procedures are in place to provide a safe and secure workplace environment for employees, visitors, assets, confidential or proprietary information in a cost effective manner

Main responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Providing protection for personnel and company property through the management of security protocols
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining security policies to meet required codes and regulations.
  • Utilising a strong knowledge of access control systems, CCTV equipment and investigations
  • Managing the performance of contract security personnel
  • Acting as a liaison with local law enforcement agencies

Applicants must possess at least a 2:2 Honours degree in a relevant discipline combined with a minimum of 2 years’ management experience. Industrial security experience is essential, preferably in a high tech environment. Candidates must have strong knowledge of access control systems, CCTV equipment and investigation. The successful candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
