 Job Description

Scheduler

Purpose of Post:

  • To purchase and expedite the delivery of materials to meet production requirements in line with normal scheduling procedures.
  • To Analyse demand vs stock to ensure correct inventory holding.
  • Liaise with Stores/Material Personnel, ensuring that all goods are correctly handled, stores and transacted on the ERP system.
  • Ensure parts are available to production to support Production.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong educational background with min 5 GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent or proven extensive relevant experience in Fast Manufacturing Environment
  • Computer Literate with experience of spreadsheets and databases.
  • Previous working experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems – i.e. Sage/IFS
  • Concept of material scheduling in a high volume manufacturing process
  • Influencing/persuasive skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to act as a member of a team
  • Assertive
  • Able and willing to work overtime if required
  • Current driving license
  • Good timekeeping and attendance records. 

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Institute of Purchasing Qualification
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
  • Strong Experience with Excel (Pivot Tables – Vlook-ups etc.) would be advantageous
  • Suitable experience in scheduling to a build programme

Good timekeeping, attendance and disciplinary records are pre-requisites for this post.
