Job Title: Project Planner

Reporting to: Planning Manager

Location: Monkstown, Northern Ireland

CDE is now seeking to appoint an experienced Planner to join the team.  Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, this position is based in Monkstown, Northern Ireland, however there will be travel required to the Cookstown Head Office.

Job Purpose

To ensure Projects are planned in accordance with business capacity and customer requirements.


  • Adhering to company safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Support the PMO function by creating and managing project plans throughout the entire Project lifecycle
  • Pro-actively review the plan with the necessary departments to ensure everyone is working to the latest information
  • Continually monitor and record Project progress to ensure the Project Plan is always up to date
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure the Project Team is aware of the time commitments
  • Highlight any risks to the schedule as early as identified
  • Participate and chair Project meetings
  • Communicate Weekly and Monthly KPIs to the PMO Team
  • Drive continuous improvement by regularly reviewing processes


  • To adhere to CDE policy and practice.
  • To carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role.

Person Specification – Planner

Qualification/ Attainments


  • Degree in relevant discipline

Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role 


  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role

  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and control daily workload
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
