PACKAGING TECHNOLOGIST

Reporting to the Senior Packaging Technologist, you will be responsible for the design, development and trialling of packaging materials to meet business and customer requirements across NI sites. This role will involve working closely with production and suppliers to deliver solutions to packaging related issues or problems, addressing any quality/technical issues presented by the packaging to the suppliers.

You will be responsible for the designing and developing of packaging solutions across a wide range of fresh and frozen products development of packaging solutions and/or materials to meet customer and factory requirements. You will ensure that all packaging is “fit for purpose” while maximising efficiencies within the production environment. The role will involve presenting “new” packaging formats and technology to support innovation within the premier provider plan, develop and maintain a transparent database on company packaging processes, types, and specifications.

The successful candidate will have experience working within the packaging or food industry with demonstrable knowledge of packaging and packing processes along with experience in product/process research, development & design. Computer literacy skills along with excellent written and oral communication skills are essential qualities. A full & clean driving licence is essential.
