We are currently recruiting a Store Manager for our store based in Derry ~ Londonderry.

O’Briens Store Manager

The Role:

At O’Briens our Managers are our leaders & if you have a passion for food, coffee & excellent customer service then we want to hear from you! Although applicants must have experience in a similar role in a similar environment they will receive full training on commencement of the role through our dedicated Training Manger, Area Manager and also through external training.

  • You will be expected to deliver and understand financial expectations set by the company and above all be accountable for the performance and management of your team.
  • You will have control over all of the cash and financial responsibilities along with meeting the monthly KPI’s.
  • The marketing and promotions will be controlled by you and you will be expected to generate ideas for this and be aware of the local market.

Duties include ensuring excellent customer service with excellent quality food & beverage products in a clean & comfortable enviroment. Behind the scenes this role also includes cleaning & ensuring the store & displays are up to audit standard and also baking our delicious range of homemade scones, muffins, cakes, traybakes and speciality breads.

Essential Criteria:

  • At least 2 years experience in a supervisory/managerial position in a catering environment 
  • Must have an understanding of customer service and importance of delivering on customer expectations.
  • Hands on experience of food preparation.
  • Have the ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions and request clarification when needed.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Proven administration skills.
  • GCSE Maths & English or equivilent.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Basic food hygiene certificate. 
  • World host training. 
  • Full driving licence and access to a car. 

Other Information:

  • Our shifts generally start around 7.30am and the last shift finishes at 9.30pm Monday – Sunday.
  • Rate of pay will be discussed at the interview.
