To serve emerging market needs in the waste recycling industry, Ecohog, in partnership with South West College, have secured a Knowledge Transfer Partnership to develop new machinery for this industry.
Project research to include familiarisation with current company products, all requirements for the new product, waste recycling equipment, regulations and new design techniques.
Working with Ecohog design staff and SWC supervisor, implement new design techniques within the company bringing in the use of new software, processes and visualisation techniques (augmented & virtual reality) to assess products before going to manufacture.
Design, development, testing and manufacturing of innovative new mobile waste handling equipment.
Development and implementation of new R&D techniques within the company for the testing of new products and improvements in workshop efficiencies.
Development of standard procedures, transfer of technology and knowledge from SWC and embedding within the company.
Identification of opportunities to implement lean manufacturing techniques.
Training of Ecohog staff as a result of new product development and manufacturing processes.
Upskilling of dealer and maintenance network on operation of new product.
Research new and emerging waste markets globally.
Attend mandatory training modules required as part of the KTP Training Programme. These may be local, national and international. Further opportunity to attain a Diploma in Management.
Carry out routine administration as required, e.g. arrange meetings, take minutes and monitor travel and personal development budgets to ensure best use of financial resources.
Organise, facilitate and minute regular project meetings – including the preparation and presentation of accurate and well researched progress reports.
Present regular progress reports to members of the steering committee and management groups.
Liaison with Ecohog and SWC staff and associated KTP contacts to ensure the project runs to time and budget, and full collaboration is gained to maximise project potential.
