Excellent opportunity for Ingredients Buyer – Temp (18 – 24 Months) based in Craigavon.

Ingredients Buyer – Temp (18 – 24 Months)

Reporting to the Senior Ingredients Buyer you will have responsibility for supporting the management of purchasing across a range of categories within the Moy Park ingredient spend portfolio. In this role you will support the on-going performance management of the supply base, work proactively to support the commodity sourcing strategy, track spend & cost saving data, support sites on supplier issues when needed and assist with the development and delivery of cost saving initiatives.

It is expected that you will have a minimum of one years’ experience working in Food Manufacturing, Purchasing or else a Supply Chain role and be able to demonstrate competence in managing a range of projects and working to deadlines. An excellent communicator with strong influencing skills you will be comfortable in dealing with staff at all levels, and able to prepare reports and presentations in a concise manner. Computer literate and competent in using MS office, you will be able to demonstrate strong Excel skills.  

Preference will be given to applicants who have previous Purchasing or Supply Chain experience and prior experience in a similar food manufacturing environment would be desirable. Previous experience with using MRP / ERP systems would be an advantage.

Regular travel to other Moy Park sites across our group and also to suppliers in GB will be required; therefore a driving license and the flexibility to travel are essential.
