Applications are invited for the following permanent position in our Cork office:
Information Systems Assistant
Reporting to the Information Systems & Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will deliver key support activities to assist with the implementation, maintenance and development of Information Communication Technologies. They will be responsible for investigating, defining and analysing both internal and external information and communications technology requirements from both a user and system perspective.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and reviewing safefood ICT processes and equipment, and supporting safefood staff by providing an ICT helpdesk function for day to day issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants must have a 3rd level degree / post graduate qualification in Information Technology or an equivalent professional qualification. They must have at least 2 years IT experience gained within the public, private, voluntary or community sector. This employment experience should include experience of networking and communications technologies including LAN/WAN Servers and PC’s. Previous experience in dealing with customer queries in person and by telephone is also essential.
€24,205-€35,764 (NPPC). The appointment will be made at the minimum of the scale.
