Excellent opportunity for a Financial Accountant based in Belfast
This is an exciting time to be joining Queen’s and in particular the Finance Department as we embark on projects which will deliver real and tangible benefits to enhance the student experience. Working within the Student Finance team you will interact with all business areas in the University to ensure best practice processes are in place. The successful candidate will have the project and people management skills and experience to manage a wide range of activities from daily accounting to month and year-end responsibilities, to the development and implementation of our payment acceptance strategy.
This is also an exciting time to be joining the Student Finance team and be involved in planning for the teams move to the new integrated Student Services Centre, a multi-million pound state of the art development which will see all services which support the student journey located together.
We are looking for a qualified accountant to improve our student and staff experience through the delivery of new digital payment platforms combined with process improvements, as well as oversee day to day banking and income activities.
Working in a team of over 100 finance staff our aim is to support teaching, research and other activities through the efficient planning, management and control of financial and business affairs, and the control of funds and assets.

Salary scale: £33,199 – £39,610 per annum (potential to progress to £43,266 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution)
